Aed-Dloader: Download Directly from Sites with Counters
Aed-Dloader is an application which lets mobile users download files directly from file hosting sites like Mediafire, Rapidshare, 4shared, Megaupload and Plunder. It can also download attached files from the Symbianize.com forum as well as files coming from direct sharing links. It was developed by Aed as for the name, who is an active member of different mobile forums.
It uses the @trick technique in order to bypass charges coming from the network providers here in the Philippines (I think it's also used in other countries). The software is free so as the downloading charges. It's great isn't it?
In case your downloading big files and the progress was interrupted, the software provides you the autoresume function so that you won't need to restart all over. It also saves the last download link in case it failed to download or you may want it for future use.
Supported phones:
· All CLDC 1.0 and MIDP 2.0 mobile phones
· Tested working on Nokia N73, Nokia N70, Nokia 6300, Nokia 6500, Nokia N82, Nokia
· 6682, Nokia 6600, Nokia 6630, Nokia 5310, Nokia 3310, Sony Ericsson K800.
I tested it with my N73 and N70 using Smart and Globe Sim card. As for my experience, downloading speed varies depending on the time period. It can be as fast as 16 kbps and as slow as 2 kbps. A fast proxy can also affect the speed.
How to use it:
1. Download the Aed-Dloader 4.4.5 (.jar) in Softpedia. Direct link (Remove .zip after download). There's a newer version already but it is a modded one. You can try it here Modded by DJ (Remove .zip after download). They only differ with the interface.
2. Install and run Aed-Dloader. Allow it to read and write user data.
3. Type your download link (from MS, MU, RS, 4shared, etc). You can also copy-paste if your phone allows you. By default, the @trick is enabled. So, just press Options and Select Next.
4. Use Smart GPRS/Smart/SmartMMS when it asks to connect to the internet and locate the file. For Globe users, setup a new internet profile with http.globe.com.ph as APN and input this proxy 219.234.81.63 at port 80. Alternative proxies: 62.94.22.204:8080 or 41.221.254.11:80. If the proxies are not working, choose one from here (only those proxies at port 8080 or 80). A page with the filename of your download link will appear together with the @trick to be used (the @trick can be renamed to wap.smart.com.ph, wap.igma.tv). It will save the file in your memory card (E:) by default but you are free to change it to your desired path and your prefered filename. The page will be like this:
5. Click Options and download the file. Wait until it completes its process.
I tried downloading from mediafire but an error occured. MF cannot locate the file though I am sure it's there. In megaupload, it connects but the filename is missing only the E:/ appears. Maybe I was trying to download password protected files. It works in 4shared. Haven't tried RS, though. Smart users can install that with no charge but needs maintaining balance below 10php.
