Browse the Internet for FREE with MyGlobe Connect Using Symbian Phone!

Everybody wants some FREE internet, right? If you are a Globe user, you use MyGlobe Internet most of the time and got capped to 800MB when using promo. But in this tutorial, you will be using MyGlobe Connect which is slow for browsing purposes but works great for bypassing the bandwidth limit of Globe and also it works even without load! Better, huh?

This is for symbian phones only, s60v3. I cannot find a jar file for s40 users at the moment.You may refer here if you are using an android phone, Browse the Net for Free with Your Android Phone.

You will need:
UCWEB 9.3 Browser (Download here | Mirror)
or
Opera Mini 7.1 Browser (Download here | Mirror)

Procedure:
1. Go to you phone's network settings and change your default access point to MyGlobe Connect. If you don't have MyGlobe Connect, you can manually input it by going to Settings--Configuration--New Access Point
APN: www.globe.com.ph
Proxy: 203.177.42.214
Port: 8080
2. Install the browser that you downloaded above, any of the two will do. Then use the Access Point MyGlobe Connect when asked to connect to the internet.
3. Wait for it to install and you can now start browsing, uploading, streaming and download til your SDcard if full!
