How to Verify Paypal Account Even Without a Credit Card?
This uses Philippine banks, but the process is still the same for other banks. This only applies for ATM cards with Visa, MasterCard, Maestro or American Express logo at any part of the card. Note that the card is not necessarily a credit card.
I signed up for Paypal since most of the accounts in ad networks requires one. It's either they mail the check or pay thru Paypal or Payza (I don't know much about Payza though). So, I made a Paypal Account by signing-up here. Don't worry, signing-up is free, just choose Personal Account. Then, for you to make online money transfers, you have to have a Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or American Express card. Now, these cards are no longer exclusive as credit cards, it can now be a prepaid card or an ordinary ATM debit card. In this case, you can use Banco de Oro (BDO) Mastercard or RCBC MyWallet Visa Card. I haven't tried other banks but I heard that Union Bank is also applicable for Paypal.

Now Showing: Nuffnang and Lijit Ads
If you are a frequent viewer of this blog, you may have noticed that this blog had stopped showing Google Adsense ads. i-Share was banned from Adsense but not my whole account. So, I tried other advertising networks. I think, in count, I've tried almost 10 ad networks and those are Adhitz, Smowtion, Adserve, Clicksor, Chitika, Adjungle, Blueadvertise, Infinityads, Lijit, Infolinks, Nuffnang and Pulse Point. Of all these, I got myself into running simultaneously, so you may have noticed the ads showing everywhere. I was testing things, so my apology for those who are sick of them.
Today, I've got my first ever ad campaign from Nuffnang and my first ever legit ads from Lijit. I've got to the point of e-mailing Lijit because I've been a member for a week already and not one counted ad is showing and sometimes it shows blank pages. I'm just happy for Nuffnang because I read that many blogger had waited for months before a single ads had been shown while in my case I have the ads by only three weeks. Notice the Nestle Crunch Ad at the left sidebar? It's a contest where you will submit your Funtacular photo, you might be interested for some Ice cream gift certificates. That kind of ad (skyscraper) has the lowest CTR. But since I was just testing, I settled for it. Yesterday, I added a leader board and will be hoping for more ad campaign from that. Also, my Glitterati status is not affected since the other ads I am in are not from Asia-Pacific.
Currently, I got Lijit ads showing with Adserve ads as pass tag, Pulse Point ads with Smowtion ads as backup tag, Nuffnang and Clicksor. I now like ad networks with backup tags, you can set your floorprice which is good. Overall, that's four ads in just one blog.
I am starting a new blog about blogging (you can peek at Colored Chalks), but the page is still being developed especially the theme, and am just letting Google to crawl it for awhile. I will talk more about ads at Colored Chalks.
Just happy today!

How to Watch TV Programs in Your Laptop With No Internet?
If you don't have an internet connection at home or you want to watch your favorite TV programs in real-time in your laptop or desktop, an easy way to do this is by having a TV tuner.
I have specifically brought mine when I got interested watching Be Careful with My Heart (yes, Papa Chen!) here in Quezon City. I haven't got the comfort of having an LCD TV installed in my boarding house, but I have my ever trusted Compaq laptop! I got hooked to this TV program and bought the cheapest TV tuner in CD-R King just to satisfy my whims. It costed me Php 1,180 plus Php 150 for the TV antenna. It also have a remote control so you can feel as if you're laptop is just like a TV. I also canvassed for other brands but they are a bit pricey, around Php 3000.

How to Download Videos Hosted from a Site (i.e.Youtube, Dailymotion, etc.)?
You're getting tired of Youtube's buffering because you are in slow connection, or you want to save the movie in your drive for future use? You don't want to download torrents for the new movies, or your video is hosted at some site and it doesn't have the download option, then read through this post.
Before, I use online applications to do this, like vixy.net, catchvideo.net and savevid.com. But the time to convert the video URL into a downloadable link is adding time to your internet browsing. And sometimes when you are at a computer shop, there will be instances that the computer doesn't support java because the java plug-in is not installed on the browser. If you download the java and install it, it will take about 15-30 minutes depending on the internet speed. Within half an hour, you still haven't started your video download.
I suggest that you install a program for more convenient downloading (even if you are at the internet shop, they sometimes have Deep Freeze, so it's not a bother). I heard about a program called Youtube downloader, but I would not suggest it since sometimes it doesn't work and it fetch slow. My picks are these:

How to Solve "Incompatible Cartridge" in HP D1660 Printer?
If you are engaged in refilling your ink either personally or through a refilling station, you can encounter this problem with HP printers. The new HP printers are now equipped with cartridges which have micro chips inside that inform users with the ink level or if the cartridge is refilled or depleted. I had this problem when I bought HP D1660 printer and I refilled the introductory cartridges (Black and Tri-color HP 60). You should never refill the introductory cartridge that comes with your printer if you want to use your printer for long. I know that D1660 is the cheapest HP printer around, but still it costs you money to buy that right? So, don't do what I did if you don't want to spend more money in service repairs. Buy a new cartridge first to replace the introductory cartridge and help yourself with the refilling.
I haven't used my printer for two months and the cartridges inside were read as incompatible, I tried to replace it repeatedly to the printer but the problem persist. So I gave up and brought it to repairs. And the technician informed me that the cartridges are no longer reusable and I have to buy a new one. I bought one and printed pages until the cartridge was drained and the printer read it as depleted even if I refilled it. Again, another cartridge went to trash. Once your ink cartridge was read as "Incompatible Cartridge" or "Depleted or Used" by your HP printer, it can no longer be rescued nor reused, don't give hope on that and say bye-bye already. Even the ones that buy used cartridges will not spend even a peso for something that can no longer be recycled. It's already in it's "disposable" condition.

How to Register in Smart ALLIN25?
Smart subscribers can now enjoy unlimited text to ALL networks in Smart ALLIN25 with just Php25. In addition to the unlitxt service, there's a 60-min-call to SMART/TnT/Sun plus 10MB data consumable for internet browsing.
To register, text ALLIN25 to 2477. This is valid for 1 day.
To call, just dial *2477 + 11-digit mobile number. i.e. *247709091234567.
No need for 1 peso maintaining balance.
When you avail the internet additional service, I recommend that you use Opera Mini to lessen the kb consumption of your phone.
As I can remember, I used to avail of the Smart's LTU25 (lahat text unli) which gives me unlimited text to all network, 10-minute call and 25MB data plan for internet browsing. And there's also an LTU50 which is good for 3 days. Maybe this new promo is an alternative to that previous one but with revisions. I think the LTU25 before is better for those who use the internet more. This new offer is better appreciated by those who spend longer times calling.
